THE BEAUTY OF THE DESERT - 4 DAYS

Day 1: Marrakech - Aȉt Ben-Haddou - Ouarzazate - Zagora
Day 2: Zagora - M'hamid/Erg Chegaga Dunes
Day 3: Erg Chegaga
Day 4: Erg Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Marrakech

During this trip you will experience:

Day 1: Marrakech - Aȉt Ben-Haddou - Ouarzazate - Zagora

You will be picked up by your driver at the hotel and start the drive from Marrakech over the Atlas Mountains. On the way you will pass the amazing Kasbah du Pacha el Glaoui, cross the impressive pass Tizi n'Tichka (2260m) and reach the famous Kasbah Aȉt Ben-Haddou, for which a break as well as time for sightseeing is planned. The journey continues via Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, to the famous Draa Valley. In the afternoon you will reach your hotel in Zagora, where you will spend the night at the gates of the desert.

Travel time: 350 km, 6.5 hrs

Day 2: Zagora - M'hamid - Erg Chegaga

After breakfast you will continue your journey along the Draa Valley. First you will stop during the day in Tamegroute, the village of the green pottery and an unforgettable Koranic library. Arrive for lunch in M'hamid, the last village of the Draa Valley, where the road stops to give way to the sand dunes of the Sahara. After lunch, drive on an unforgettable sandy road until arriving at the Chegaga dunes, visible from far away. Overnight in our luxury camp, with music of the blue men around the evening campfire, surrounded by the beauty of the starry night sky.

Travel time: 140 km, 3 hrs

Day 3: Erg Chegaga

Early in the morning you wake up to witness the sunrise on the impressive Chegaga dunes. After breakfast, you will have free time before starting a camel ride for an amazing picnic in a secret oasis in the middle of nowhere. There you will spend an unforgettable moment with the nomads before heading to your camp for the last sunset and dinner. 

Day 4: Erg Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Marrakech

After sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chegaga dunes and a relaxing breakfast, meet your driver who will take you back to Marrakech. This drive will take you on the old Paris -Dakar desert road to Foum Zguid, where you will stop for lunch. Following then continue to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains, arriving late afternoon to your hotel.
