Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

You will be met at the airport and your driver will take you to your accommodation, a typical riad in the heart of Marrakech. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Marrakech - Aȉt Ben-Haddou

In Marrakech, you will be picked up at your riad. In the morning, experience the scenic and varied pass drive over the Tizi n'Tichka (2260m). In the afternoon, visit the impressive Kasbah of Aȉt Ben-Haddou, one of the most picturesque in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Aȉt Ben-Haddou, your dinner awaits you at the hotel, where you will also spend the night.

Driving time: 185 km, 3.5 hrs

Day 3: Through the rocky mountain desert to the oasis Foum Zguid

Today you will drive over the High Atlas Mountains to Agdz on the edge of the Draa Valley with its large palm groves. You will visit the Ksars Tamnougalt before a long day's ride through the foothills of the Anti-Atlas. Pass villages where you might think time has stood still. Enjoy the magnificent views of this bizarre landscape. Continue through stony mountain deserts and large wadis. Then continue via Taznacht to the oasis of Foum Zguid.

Travel time: 235 km, 3.5 hrs

Day 4: Foum Zguid - Tafraout

Today you continue your journey through a barren, desert landscape via the oasis of Tata and Amtoudi. In the afternoon you will reach Tafraout. The area around Tafraout is one of the most beautiful in Morocco. The bizarre shapes of the granite blocks have often been compared to the Spanish Montserrat or the meteorite rocks. In the valley of the Ammels, where a very industrious Berber tribe lives, the villages are particularly beautiful. Either they barely stand out against the rock or they have been dipped in delicate pink.

Travel time: 395 km, 5.5 hrs

Day 5: Tafraout

Today is free for you to explore the surrounding area. For example, the fertile Ammeln valley, with its many almond trees that bloom in February. Also worth seeing is the village of Agerd Oudad and the rocks painted in 1984 by the Belgian-French artist Jean Vérame.

Day 6: Tafraout - Tiznit - Sidi Ifni

Today you will continue to Sidi Ifni through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, via the silver town of Tiznit. You will undertake a short city tour before continuing along the Atlantic coast to your destination today.

Travel time: 180 km, 3.5 hrs

Day 7: Sidi Ifni - Taroudannt

Today you will set off in the morning after breakfast to Taroudant. The former capital of the Saadians, founded in the 15th century, offers you the image of a small royal town. Embedded in massive ocher-colored clay walls, it inevitably reminds you of Marrakech. For a long time it was the capital of the Souss, before Agadir developed further. Nevertheless, Taroudannt's geographical location is ideal: with the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountain ranges to the north and south, it offers visitors a magnificent backdrop of snow-capped peaks in winter.

Travel time: 215 km, 3.5 hrs

Day 8: Return to Marrakech and return flight

After breakfast, drive back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains for your flight home.

Travel time: 275 km, 3.5 hrs
