YOGA CAMEL TREKKING - 8 DAYS

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Day 2: Marrakech - Aȉt Ben-Haddou - Ouarzazate - Zagora - M'hamid
Day 3-5: Sahara (trekking and yoga)
Day 6: Desert to Agdz
Day 7: Agdz - Marrakech
Day 8: Departure from Marrakech

Our host will meet us at the airport and take us to our accommodation, a typical riad in the heart of Marrakech. The rest of the day is free.

Morning at 8:00 departure from our riad in Marrakech to cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains. After the Tizi n`Tichka pass, we detour south to Aȉt Ben-Haddou, Morocco's most famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, we will visit the Kasbah. Later we continue south via Quarzazate and Zagora, known as the gateway to the Sahara, where the Draa Valley begins, to the desert town of M'hamid. There we already spend the night in our tents.

Travel time: 450 km, 8 hrs

We enjoy our breakfast and then start our first trekking day. We will trek three days with camels to discover the most beautiful desert of Morocco and its huge dunes with different features of the desert: Erg, Reg, Hammada.

This program gives us enough time to practice yoga and meditation every day: in the morning before breakfast, during lunch breaks, in the evening while our companions prepare dinner.

Walking time is about five hours per day (two and a half hours in the morning and the same time in the afternoon). It is also possible to ride the camels. There are also camels that carry the equipment.

Our meals and tents are prepared by our guides and camel drivers.

The necessary equipment is: special walking shoes, sleeping bags and flashlight.

Return from Erg Chegaga by off-road vehicle to Zagora, where we stop for lunch before continuing to Agdz. We will spend the night in a beautiful riad in the middle of the Draa Valley.

Driving time: 210 km, 4 hrs

The next morning we start our return journey to Marrakech. At noon we stop in Ouarzazate, the further drive takes us over the Tizi n` Tichka pass, where we have a break in a women's cooperative, and can buy argan oil products. Before returning to our riad in Marrakech, we visit the most beautiful garden on the way to Ourika, the Andrè Heller Garden. We spend a wonderful evening with a closing party to end this impressive week together.

The next day we will be picked up from the riad and transferred to the airport.
